Ben Kingsley Doesn't Matter If People Call Him Sir
Sir Ben Kingsley has clarified that it just does not matter for him whether or not people call him by his title of knight.
The Gandhi star, knighted in 2002, was billed as 'Sir Ben Kingsley' in the credits for the 2006 film Lucky Number Slevin.
The move attracted disapproval from critics.
Kingley also feels his title should not have been used in the film's credit.
"A title should never be used on billings. The backlash from that was completely understandable, but it's all been blown a bit out of proportion. It's part of this wonderful British satirical streak,
Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
"If someone wants to call me Sir Ben, it's great; if someone wants to call me Ben, it's great, too," he added.
