A younger man was thrown clear from the vehicle as the Toyota traytop tumbled 100m down a steep embankment just off Crescent Rd, near Lobethal Rd.
The men were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with head and neck injuries.
A witness who was working 100m from the crash site said he heard a series of loud bangs as the car tumbled down the dirt track.
He said both men were unconscious when he arrived on the scene.
