The Connection To The Server Was Reset While The Page Was Loading

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

This is the fix to this annoying problem.

After buying a new computer - with vista and installing firefox 3.  Everything was working perfectly one day and then suddenly some site I was visiting each day would no longer load. And I would get the message "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading" I tried Internet Explorer and the same or similar errors.

I am writing this because I had a LOT of trouble finding the FIX on the Internet. It seemed hundreds of people had or are having the same trouble but there were no fixes available.

I tried all the normal things at first, reloaded firefox, checked the firewall, reset the router, tried different computers, etc etc. The problem was only in my office location / house.

Nothing would work, so I paid a technician to trace the fault...... here is it.........
basically the fault is something with the internet provider, we had to email the technical support of my internet provider the logs from my computer.

He used WinMTR, Which  is a program to trace the route of your internet -traceroute.

When he loaded this and ran it he cold see that my computer was timing out with most if not all of the connection from my internet, including my connection to my internet provider.

So after we sent the logs and called the Internet provider they traced the problem and within a few days my Internet was back to normal.

SO DON'T SPEND HOURS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TRYING TO RE-INSTALL WINDOWS, OR FIREFOX OR FORMAT YOUR COMPUTER BECAUSE ITS NOT YOUR COMPUTER.

CALL YOUR INTERNET PROVIDER AND TELL THEM TO TWEAK AND OR ADJUST YOUR CONNECTION.

Please share this. I hope it helps.

Freddy.
